Consolidation of EMBRC and embedding with stakeholders and the wider community is crucial for the continuous integration of EMBRC into the European community and the European Research Area. We welcome contacts from marine research stations along the European coastline that are interested in exploring the possibilities to become participant in the upcoming construction and operational phase of EMBRC.

During the preparatory phase of EMBRC we foresee a network of Aspiring partners that we will inform about progress and activities of EMBRC and that are welcome to attend all appropriate EMBRC meetings and workshops (workshops are free but travel and accommodation are at their own expense) . Aspiring partners fulfilling the criteria for full partnership will be invited to become a member in the construction and operational phases of EMBRC.  We also welcome other stakeholders such as funders, other RI-projects, academic users and users from industry, governments and NGOs to get in touch and interact with us on common interests.

We anticipate this stakeholder group comprising the following categories:

  • Users and customers - academic, governmental, NGOs and industry/SMEs - at regional, national, European and international levels.
  • Potential new members of the infrastructure – marine stations, marine institutes etc.
  • Potential funders - national and regional governments, research councils, industry etc.
  • Other relevant Research Infrastructure initiatives.
  • Corresponding partners, including European and global marine biological organizations as well as marine institutes not interested in becoming partners but still interested in being updated on the EMBRC progress.

Our primary aims, in relation to EMBRC stakeholders during the preparatory phase, are to identify the community, inform about EMBRC and its progress and invite to relevant EMBRC meetings and workshops.
